Dutch mathematician and physicist renowned for evolving the wave theory of
light. He invented the pendulum clock based on Galileo's theory (1580). He
also discovered the rings of Saturn and its fourth satellite. |

Italian explorer, Columbus was the first modern European to discover the
Americas in 1492. He reached Bahamas in 1492 and discovered Puerto Rico and
Jamaica as well. In 1498-1500 he reached Trinidad and South America. |

Chinese revolutionary and Prime Minister from 1949-58, he was instrumental
